Why are the bottles sent half full? Dyes are shipped in a thick concentrated form in order to make postage affordable. This means the water part has been left out. We have provided the right size bottle for your convenience so all you need to do is top up the bottle with the water part and shake well before use. Just like those shake and pour pancake mix containers at the supermarket. The dyes should not be used without adding the water part, as this would be a waste of money and product. (On the front of the label it says to add equal part water to dye as some people require 2 litres of colour and we only have bottles that go up to 1 litre size.)
for example: 250ml jars will have 125ml of thick concentrated dye which needs topping up with a further 125ml of water in order to be a useable product.
Adding the water part has no effect on 'use by date' the dye will last in your cupboard for ages if kept out of direct sunlight Enjoy!
