How much dye will I need?

Delivery time?
Orders can take up to 7 - 14 days as we're in a regional area, If you need your kit urgently for an event please just send us a text and we should be able to arrange! **Orders from WA and NT can take longer via Australia post, even when express posted. From here on the East coast can take up to 5-10 days. Please contact us if you require by an urgent date and live in these states so we can look into ETA.
Why do the bottles look half full?
Most of our dyes are shipped in a thick concentrated form. We have provided the right size bottle for your convenience so all you need to do is top up the bottle with the water part and shake well before use! The dyes should not be used without adding the water part. eg. 250ml jars will have 125ml of thick concentrated dye which needs topping up with a further 125ml of water in order to be a useable product.
How long will they last?
Typically most things have a best before date. We haven't put one on as we've found that although some colours may develop an odour over time if stored, this has no effect on the results of tie dye, We've had customers tell us they still work even after being in the cupboard for 10 years! So adding the water part has no effect on 'use by date' the dye will last if kept out of direct sunlight. *July 2016 update: We have improved our formula with a non toxic preservative so your tie dye kit now keeps odour free for longer on the shelf! What if the sun goes away while I'm drying, will it still work?
Yes you can also set with a heat source like a hair dryer, fan, or in front of a heater. The colours may turn out more pastel toned if opened out so this is much easier to do if your project is bundled up still in your tie design with elastics. Alternatively you can wrap in plastic and wait until the sun comes out.
